Custom Configuration Management

As an integrator for mission critical systems, Systel designs and builds rugged computers that meet the customer’s mechanical, environmental and performance requirements. A key aspect of our success is thoroughly understanding each customer’s unique needs including their application to configure a solution tailored specifically for them. We want our customers to work alongside us not just in the initial requirements gathering phase, but also throughout the design process. We strive to be a trusted advisor rather than just a vendor.
When specing in components and determining the compatibility and layout of how to position them, we take into consideration overall SaWP optimization. For instance, in a 1U rackmount server, space is at a premium and heat dissipation, airflow impedance and thermal management in general are big concerns. Thus, we pay close attention to particular components we plan to utilize, like the height and orientation of the memory, the wattage of the CPUs and the hold-down mechanism for add-in cards.
Our technology partnerships with key industry leaders including Intel, Nvidia and Supermicro, grant us direct access to their resources thus providing us a better understanding of not only their current products but an extended preview of their roadmaps to come. We leverage this insight when collaborating with our end users ensuring we spec in compatible, long life components, while creating an optimal migration path moving forward. This allows us to get ahead of the ever-present issue of obsolescence when working with COTS components and provide our customers with the perfect solutions.
The custom configuration management we provide during your interaction with our knowledgeable and hands on sales team, is a standard feature as part of the Systel experience.
